15 dead in Meghalaya after heavy rain triggers flash floods

At least 15 people, including seven of a family, were killed in Meghalaya after heavy rains triggered flash floods in the Northeast state, officials said. Several landslide incidents were reported in the Gasuapara region due to incessant rain. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma held a review meeting on the situation across the five districts of Garo Hills.
