15-foot python named after Jodie Foster becomes first snake to receive human cancer treatment

A 15-foot python named after actress Jodie Foster has become the first snake to receive electrochemotherapy, a human cancer treatment. The 23-year-old reptile at Chester Zoo developed a recurring jaw tumour. Vets removed the tumour and part of her diseased jawbone before administering therapy. She can now strike, grip and swallow food normally, with no sign of cancer returning.
