Fifteen-year-old Indian chess player Vandan Alankar Sawai defeated world number one Magnus Carlsen in an online blitz game. Playing with white pieces, the Delhi-based chess player capitalised on a blunder by Carlsen and forced him to resign after 50 moves. His mother said he had initially been reluctant to enter the tournament and didn't even inform his coach before playing.
