15-year-old shuttler Tanvi beats Shaina in an all-Indian final, wins Asia U-17 title

Fifteen-year-old Tanvi Patri won the women's singles title at the Badminton Asia U-17 Championships 2026 in China's Chengdu on Sunday. She defeated Shaina Manimuthu 11-15, 15-10, 15-12 in an all-Indian final. This comes days after Tanvi won her first senior international title at the Pontianak International Challenge in Indonesia. She had also won the Asian U-15 Championships in 2024.
