150 schools in Himachal have no teacher, 3,500 have only one

At least 150 schools in Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh are operating without a teacher, while 3,500 have only one teacher, state education minister Rohit Thakur informed the Assembly on Wednesday. The minister said this in response to BJP MLA Reena Kashyap, who raised the shortage of teachers in her constituency. "Parents pooling their own money to hire teachers," Kashyap had said.
