1,500 adivasis hold protest demanding caste certificates in Mumbai

Over 1,500 adivasis from Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and adjoining areas participated in a protest near the suburban collector's office in Mumbai's Bandra East on Monday. The protestors demanded that the authorities provide them with caste certificates and resolve various land-related issues. Several tribals don't have papers related to the land on which they are staying for decades, a protestor said.
