16 liquor vends sealed in Himachal over repackaging racket

Himachal Pradesh sealed 16 liquor vends in Bhawarna and adjoining areas on Tuesday, following the seizure of 400+ liquor boxes 10 days ago. Probe revealed liquor meant for Chandigarh was allegedly rebottled as premium brands. Recovered labels and caps confirmed the racket. Excise Department has proposed re-auction of sealed vends to protect government revenue.
