16 people dead, 119 missing after landslide in Raigad; 21 rescued

A total of 16 people died and 21 have been rescued from landslide-hit Irshalwadi in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. Earlier yesterday, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde visited the Raigad landslide incident site and announced ₹5 lakh ex-gratia to the families of the deceased. According to reports, rescue operations are underway to trace 119 people who are still missing.
