165 quintals of PDS rice worth ₹5 lakh seized by Hyd Police; 3 held

The Hyderabad Police on Tuesday seized 165 quintals of PDS rice worth nearly ₹5 lakh and arrested three people. The accused allegedly purchased rice from beneficiaries at lower prices and sold it at higher rates. The alleged kingpin of this racket, identified as 25-year-old Mohammed Dawood, and two others are absconding. He was earlier arrested in four cases, police informed.
