16-month-old US chatbot startup with no revenue valued at $1 bn

Character.AI, a 16-month-old chatbot startup founded by two former Google employees in the Silicon Valley, was valued at $1 billion in its latest round of funding. The $150-million round was led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. As per a company representative, Character.AI doesn't generate revenue but might offer a premium subscription service in the future.
