16-yr-old boy gets fake NCRB text for 'accessing illegal website' in Kerala, dies by suicide

A 16-year-old boy died by suicide in Kerala allegedly after receiving a fake message in the name of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), seeking payment for "accessing an unauthorised movie website", police said. According to the message accessed from his laptop, he was instructed to pay ₹30,000 as fine, failing which he would receive a bigger fine and imprisonment.
