17.4 cr people will vote in state polls, equal to Aus, France & SA's population: CEC

CEC Gyanesh Kumar on Sunday said 17.4 crore people will vote in the elections which will take place in Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and bypolls for eight constituencies. "This comprises the continent of Australia, France, South Africa, Germany and Canada," he stated. "Delegates from the Election Commissions of 20 countries will visit the elections," Gyanesh Kumar added.
