17 locations in southern Thailand hit by bombings, arson attacks; 7 hurt

At least 17 locations in southern Thailand were hit by bombings and arson attacks, leaving seven persons injured, officials said on Wednesday. The attacks, which took place on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, targeted convenience stores and a gas station. The coordinated attacks happened in Pattani, Narathiwat and Yala provinces, military official Pramote Promin said.
