17 sentenced to life over Karnataka Dalit man's murder in 2014

A district court has sentenced 17 people to life imprisonment for the murder of a Dalit man in 2014 during a village festival in Karnataka's Yadgir. The court has also convicted three others, sentencing one of them to seven years in prison, while the other two received six-month jail terms. The man was allegedly killed over a dispute over banners.
