17-year-old girl dies by suicide in Delhi after failing to crack JEE

A 17-year-old teen died by suicide in Delhi's Okhla area after she failed to crack the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for entry into top engineering colleges in India, said police on Saturday. The girl reportedly left a suicide note. An investigation into the matter is underway as per Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS).
