17-year-old tigress Anjani succumbs to multi-organ failure

Anjani, a 17-year-old tigress housed at the Tiger and Lion Safari in Karnataka's Shivamogga, passed away on Wednesday night due to complications from multi-organ failure. The executive director of the safari said Anjani was unwell for three months before her death. Her demise reduces the number of tigers in the zoo-cum-safari to five, comprising one male and four females.
