17-yr-old Tanvi creates history, becomes youngest Taipei Open champ
India's 17-year-old shuttler Tanvi Sharma clinched her maiden BWF World Tour title by defeating Vietnam's Thuy Linh Nguyen in the women's singles final of the Taipei Open Super 300 on Sunday. With the victory, she has become the youngest player, male or female, to win the tournament. Tanvi defeated Nguyen 21-16, 21-16 in the match, which lasted just 36 minutes.
