17-yr-old who scored 95.7% dies by suicide in Maharashtra

A 17-year-old student who scored 95.7% in Class 12 science examinations allegedly died by suicide in Maharashtra's Thane after reportedly becoming distressed over not securing admission to his preferred institute, police said. He ranked 10,474 in an aptitude test and missed a seat. He aspired to pursue a BS-MS dual degree at IIEST, Shibpur, Kolkata. His family has not alleged foul play.
