173 Indian seafarers stranded after 3 ships hit in Persian Gulf
About 173 Indian seafarers are stranded in the Persian Gulf after three foreign-flagged ships were hit within 24 hours in West Asia. Zimbabwe-flagged tanker Riesco, Palau-flagged gas carrier Horizon 1 and Liberia-flagged tanker Mersin Prosperity were separately hit on September 8 and 9, with no casualties. US naval forces were identified as responsible for the strike near Gulf of Oman.
