17,600 people taking premature retirement from tri-services every yr: Govt

The Department of Military Affairs Additional Secretary, Lieutenant General Anil Puri, on Sunday said, "Around 17,600 people are taking premature retirement from the three services every year." He added that no one ever tried to ask them what they will do after retirement. The department addressed a press conference amid protests over the 'Agnipath' recruitment scheme.
