1,795 stubble burning incidents reported in last month: Centre

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Friday said that in the last month, 1,795 stubble burning incidents were reported in Punjab, Haryana and eight NCR districts of Uttar Pradesh. In the corresponding period during 2020, 4,854 incidents were reported, it added. Punjab reported the maximum number of 1,286 stubble burning incidents, followed by 487 in Haryana.
