17-yr-old Dalit boy allegedly shot dead by 4 upper-caste youths over temple entry

A 17-year-old Dalit boy, Vikas Jatav, was allegedly shot dead by four upper-caste youths over entering into a temple in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha on Saturday. Jatav's father alleged that Horam Chouhan and others stopped his son from entering village temple on May 31 and thrashed him, following which they approached the police. Police has denied "caste angle" in the murder.
