18-year-old’s amputated hand reattached in 7-hour surgery

An 18-year-old man's right hand was completely amputated at the wrist after a construction-site machine accident in Ghaziabad. Doctors performed a complex seven-hour microsurgical reimplantation, reconnecting bones, blood vessels, tendons and nerves. Blood flow was successfully restored, while sensation and movement are expected to gradually improve through rehabilitation and follow-up.
