18-year-old Venezuelan footballer Berroteran found dead under rubble after twin earthquakes

Venezuelan footballer Yimvert Berroteran has passed away aged 18 after being trapped under rubble in the twin earthquakes that struck the country on June 24, Venezuelan Football Federation confirmed. The Universidad Central forward represented Venezuela at FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2025 and recently at the under-20 level. The twin earthquakes have killed at least 920 people in Venezuela.
