18-yr-old Anahat creates history, becomes 1st Indian to be crowned junior world squash champion
Eighteen-year-old squash player Anahat Singh on Saturday created history by becoming the first Indian to be crowned junior world squash champion. She defeated Egypt's Ruqayya Salem 3-0 (11-3, 11-7, 11-9) in the World Squash Junior Championships 2026 girls singles final at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada. Her victory ended Egypt's title-winning run dating back to 2011.
