182 mn kids in low, middle-income nations lack nurture: Report

A Lancet report states that nearly 182 million children aged three to four in low- and middle-income countries lack adequate nurturing, risking their healthy development. The "next 1,000 days" referring to time period starting conception until two years old are critical for growth. Yet fewer than one in three children in this group attend early childhood care, the report stated.
