1832-born Jonathan the tortoise named Guinness World Records ICON
World's oldest living land animal, 194-year-old Jonathan the tortoise, has been officially named a Guinness World Records ICON. He is a Seychelles giant tortoise believed to have been born around 1832, and a resident of the remote South Atlantic island of St Helena. Jonathan, at this age, has dimmed vision and diminished sense of smell, but his hearing remains excellent.
