18-yr-old girl's rape & murder in Mumbai hostel to be probed by panel

The Maharashtra government on Wednesday said a one-member committee will conduct an inquiry into the alleged rape and murder of an 18-year-old student inside her room at a government hostel in Mumbai. The body was found with a 'dupatta' around her neck. The security guard of the hostel, a suspect in the case, allegedly died by suicide.
