19 auctioned mines to generate ₹7,000 cr annually: Coal Min

Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi on Monday said the auction of commercial coal mines saw "fierce competition" and the 19 blocks that were sold can generate total revenues of around ₹7,000 crore each year. He said the mines can create more than 69,000 jobs once operationalised. Out of 42 total bidders, 40 were private and two were state-owned units, he said.
