19 washing machines seized for civic poll violation in Maharashtra

Election officials in Ganraj Colony of Maharashtra's Pimpri-Chinchwad seized 19 washing machines allegedly intended as voter inducements ahead of the January 15 civic body polls. The seizure was made late on January 12 by a flying squad after the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) control room received a complaint. A formal complaint has been lodged at the Kalewadi Police Station.
