19-year-old Harshita Jakhar becomes first Indian woman to feature at Tour de France Femmes

Nineteen-year-old Harshita Jakhar became the first Indian woman to feature at the Tour de France Femmes after leading riders during the ceremonial start of Stage 2 in Aigle, Switzerland, on Sunday. The Rajasthan cyclist was among eight riders selected for the UCI World Cycling Talent Programme and completed a 4.5-km neutralised ride ahead of the professional peloton on the route.
