19-year-old Purty enters women's speed climbing quarters at Asiad

India's Joga Purty reached the quarter-finals of the women's speed climbing event at the Asian Games 2026 after finishing ninth in the qualification round on Tuesday. The 19-year-old, who is making her Asian Games debut, clocked a best time of 7.28 seconds on the 15-metre wall. China's Lijuan Deng topped the qualification with a Games Record of 6.23 seconds.
