194 defence-tech startups registered with Startup India, says govt

The Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik, in response to a question in the Lok Sabha, revealed that 194 defence startups are registered with 'Startup India'. The startups are innovating in the aeronautics, aerospace and defence sectors, he added. He further said that the government had launched Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) framework in 2018 to achieve self-reliance.
