1965 War hero Flt Lt Alfred Tyrone Cooke passes away

Flight Lieutenant Alfred Tyrone Cooke, Vir Chakra awardee and 1965 Indo-Pak War hero, passed away at Base Hospital, New Delhi. The IAF paid tribute, recalling his legendary dogfight over Kalaikunda where he shot down a PAF Sabre jet while holding off a force three times his size. He had settled in Australia post-retirement.
