1971 war 'surrender' pic's removal from South Block triggers row, Army clarifies

The removal of an iconic picture depicting Pakistan Army's surrender following the Bangladesh war, which was placed next to Indian Army chief's office in Rashtrapati Bhawan's South Block, has triggered a row. Congress MP Manickam Tagore called the move "troubling" and a "direct affront to historical memory". Indian Army called the picture's placement at Manekshaw Centre "its most befitting place".
