1989 batch IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh appointed as Jharkhand DGP

Jharkhand government's Home department appointed 1989 batch IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh as the state's Director General of Police (DGP). This comes after Election Commission of India instructed the state government to remove acting DGP Anurag Gupta with immediate effect based on a history of complaints against him. Singh is currently Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Limited's Chairman.
