19th-century temple in UP creates illusion of frog carrying temple on its back
The Frog Temple, located in Oel town of Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri, was built in the 19th century on the back of a large frog sculpture and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Its architecture is based on 'Tantra Vidhya'. Locals believe the temple was built in the honour of a divine frog which once blessed a king named Bakhat Singh.
