All-rounder Marnus Labuschagne, who on Sunday became the first-ever concussion substitute in international cricket, was also the first offender of fake fielding rule. Playing for Queensland in 2017, Labuschagne faked a throw during a domestic one-day match after which the opposition were awarded five penalty runs. The 25-year-old was Smith's like-for-like replacement in the Lord's Test today.
