1st ever probiotic beer boosts immunity, improves gut health
Researchers at the National University of Singapore have created the world's first probiotic sour beer that incorporates a Lactobacillus strain, isolated from human intestines. The bacterium has the ability to neutralise toxins and viruses, as well as regulate the immune system. The final product, which takes around a month to brew, has an alcohol content of about 3.5%, researchers said.
