1st female Prime Minister of Bangladesh Khaleda Zia passes away

Bangladesh's first female Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia, has passed away at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness. Khaleda had advanced cirrhosis of the liver, arthritis, diabetes, chest and heart problems, her doctors said. She was a key figure in the country's politics, known for her rivalry with Sheikh Hasina, who is currently in India.
