1st hockey stick was given by coach as I couldn't afford it: Rani

Ex-Indian women's hockey team captain Rani Rampal, who announced her retirement at 29, said her first hockey stick was given by coach Baldev Singh as her family couldn't afford any equipment. Rani stated that Baldev taught her discipline, punctuality and humility. Rani, who was born to a cart-puller, scored 205 goals in 254 international matches.
