The first complete analysis of individual human genomes was published on February 15, 2001. Human genomes are entire sets of genes and their respective DNA sequences across all chromosome pairs. This was the first vertebrate to be completely sequenced, and the draft analysis covered over 90% of all human genomes. The resulting data is used in several fields like biomedical science and forensics.
