1st image of damage to world's most powerful telescope from space rock released

A picture of damage to world's most powerful telescope, James Webb Telescope, after being hit by a space rock has been released. The image shows damage to one hexagonal segment of the observatory's main mirror called C3. The micrometeorite strike raised the wavefront error of the segment from 56 nanometres to 178 nanometres after correction by adjusting the segment.
