1st Indian space observatory launched into space

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched its first space observatory, ASTROSAT, into space on Monday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The multi-wavelength space observatory is aimed at comprehending the high-energy processes of neutron stars and black holes. Along with ASTROSAT, ISRO has also launched six satellites for Canada, Indonesia and the US.
