Spacecraft to crash into Saturn, begins dive towards planet

NASA's Cassini spacecraft, the first-ever man-made object to go beyond Saturn's rings is headed towards its September 15 plunge into Saturn, following a final flyby of the planet's largest moon Titan. The flyby is dubbed "goodbye kiss" by mission engineers, providing gravitational assist to the spacecraft to crash into Saturn, thereby ending the $3.9-billion mission that lasted 20 years.
