2,000-year-old Buddhist site discovered in J&K; PM Modi calls it 'proud moment'

A 2,000-year-old Buddhist site was recently discovered in J&K's Baramulla. PM Narender Modi called the discovery a "proud moment" for India's cultural heritage. The discovery at Zehanpora village came after archaeologists excavated a series of nondescript mounds, revealing stupas, monastic buildings and other structures dating back to the Kushan period, highlighting Kashmir's Buddhist past.
