2.1 mn households get zero electricity bills via PM Surya Ghar

Over 2.1 million Indian households now receive zero electricity bills under the PM Surya Ghar rooftop solar scheme. Solar power costs have dropped from ₹8/unit in 2014-15 to ₹2.15. India also achieved its 2030 target of 50% non-fossil fuel-based installed capacity five years early, becoming the first G20 nation to do so.
