2.7 lakh Maha voters listed as 150 yrs old in SIR due to EC glitch, error fixed after a month

A technical glitch recorded the birth year of 2,70,313 voters in Maharashtra as 1900, showing their ages as 101-150 years in draft electoral roll prepared under SIR. Of these, 2.3 lakh were from three Assembly constituencies in Nashik: Kalvan (ST), Chandwad and Deolali (SC). The EC fixed the error on October 6, more than a month after issue was flagged.
