2 crore litres of synthetic milk made with detergent, palm oil uncovered in Maharashtra
Police and Food and Drug Administration uncovered a massive synthetic milk racket in Maharashtra, suspecting over 2.3 crore litres of adulterated milk entered market in six months, NDTV reported. Milk was reportedly made with detergent powder, palm oil, chemicals, and mixed with genuine milk before being sold. Experts warned prolonged consumption of adulterated milk could damage liver and kidneys.
