2 Estonians arrested for alleged role in $575 million crypto fraud

Two Estonian citizens have been arrested in the city of Tallinn for their alleged involvement in a $575 million cryptocurrency fraud, the US Justice Department said. Sergei Potapenko and Ivan Turõgin allegedly tricked hundreds of thousands of people into investing in a cryptocurrency bank called Polybius and buy contracts for a mining service HashFlare between 2015 and 2019, police said.
